Summary:

Local Recycling and Trading Company actively seeking full-time Cashiers, who will fit within our company culture and reflect the company’s values, with previous experience in the follow areas to join our team:

  • Retail
  • Customer service

  • Teller

 

Details & Benefits:

  • Entry level position within an active and growing organization
  • Full-Time –  Between 35 - 45 hours per week, overtime available
  • Flexible schedule - Monday thru Friday, and half days Saturdays. Day shifts. Never work on Sunday(s).

Qualifications – applicants should / must:

  • Previous experience in cash handling, cash control, security and customer service, retail, restaurant/food industry, or transferable skills.
  • Present themselves well and professionally, have a shining personality, and work well in a strong team.
  • Be dependable and reliable.
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and customer interaction skills.
  • Have strong math skills as well as numerical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to pass credit evaluation, drug test, and background check evaluation
  • Transportation: Travel on company business may be required as part of this role. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance coverage that satisfy current state vehicle insurance standards is required.
  • Work well with various customer types in a dynamic atmosphere.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process cash customer payments and provide superior customer service.
  • Reconcile cash drawer daily and complete daily balance sheet.
  • Submit drawer to supervisor at end of day for verification – cashier to remain with drawer until released by supervisor.
  • Abide by detailed cash handling procedures and answer phones as needed.
  • Be eager for additional opportunities and advancement. Many current associates have started in this role and successfully advanced. 
  • Answering phones and other administrative tasks 
  • Work on other projects as assigned.

General Laborer

Job Location & Type: Full-Time


Compensation: Hourly | Full-time plus overtime (based on role and experience)


Qualifications – all applicants must / should have:

  • Ability do heavy lifting
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to pass background check evaluation
  • Team player
  • Lifting: Must be able to safely lift 40lbs and stand/sit/walk for prolonged periods.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of Non-ferrous and Ferrous metals a plus
  • Safety Requirements: Must adhere to all safety policies/procedures and utilize the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when in yard and warehouse areas.

 

Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities, and Details:

  • Be happy, willing, and desire to work 50 – 70 hours a week
  • Work hours: As assigned | Monday thru Friday, and half days Saturdays. Never work on Sunday(s)
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Abide by weight and measuring procedures
  • Abide by safety policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of how to operate heavy machinery or ability and desire to learn
  • On-going learning of metallurgy
  • Process incoming and outgoing material including but not limited to stripping wire, sorting metal, baling material, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness
  • We work in the heat, cold, rain, or snow
  • Work on other projects as assigned
